Cleveland, Ohio, February 4, 2015 – Shelvie Poll gets it right!
A Shelvie Poll, released January 30, 2015 reported that 52% (fifty-two percent) of likely voters opposed term limits on Mayor and City Council members. The referenced poll reported that a mere 28% (twenty-eight percent) of likely voters favored officials serving no more than three consecutive four-year elective terms, or fourteen consecutive years. At the time, 19% (nineteen percent) were still undecided.
On Tuesday, February 3, 2015, a special election was held and the unofficial Cuyahoga County Board of Election results Beachwood, Ohio reports that voters oppose the Charter Amendment for terms limits with 52% (fifty-two percent) voting no. Beachwood voters opposed term limits 51.9 to 48.1. Based on the reported election results, Shelvie Poll got it right!
